Cambridge Intermediate School strives to meet all learners’ academic and social needs every day! We pride ourselves in creating a learning environment that is welcoming, safe, and challenging. We blend Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and responsive classroom strategies to meet this goal. Students begin each day with a classroom morning meeting focusing on greetings, sharing, an activity, and a morning message. Teamwork and collaboration allow teachers to focus on their instruction at a deeper level. In addition to literacy, math, science and social studies, our students learn from specialists in physical education, music, media technology and art.  

Meaningful relationships are at the core of learning. All students and staff know they are important members of our learning community. We embrace the Bluejacket character traits — responsibility, respect, compassion, self-discipline and honesty. Students and staff celebrate their academic and character education successes each month with a Bluejacket Pride recognition ceremony. We are proud to be part of a Minnesota PBIS Exemplary School District—among the top five in the state.
